A well-established main contractor is seeking an experienced
Senior Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager
to oversee a major student accommodation project in Dublin city centre.
This is a senior leadership role, offering the opportunity to take full ownership of EHS performance on a high-profile, live construction site while working closely with project and senior management teams.
The Role:
* Lead and manage all EHS activities on site in line with Irish legislation and best practice
* Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific EHS policies, procedures, and risk assessments
* Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and toolbox talks
* Act as the key point of contact for EHS matters with subcontractors, consultants, and regulatory bodies
* Investigate incidents and near misses, ensuring corrective actions are implemented
* Provide strong leadership and mentoring to site teams to promote a proactive safety culture
Requirements:
* Minimum
7+ years' experience
in a senior EHS role within construction
* Strong background working on
large-scale building projects
(student accommodation, residential, commercial, or mixed-use preferred)
* Excellent working knowledge of
Irish H&S legislation
* Relevant third-level qualification in Health & Safety (NEBOSH, GradIOSH, or equivalent)
* Strong communication, leadership, and reporting skills
* Ability to work autonomously while influencing senior stakeholders
