Safety Excellence Leader
Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Safety Excellence Leader to provide leadership and guidance to our construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental practices are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide strategic direction and guidance to the site contractor safety coordinator team, aligning them with our organisation's safety goals and objectives.
* Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for construction Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) documents and standards, adapting to regulatory requirements and industry/corporate standards.
* Develop and implement comprehensive HSE programmes, including project supervisor design process, project supervisor construction stage, and maintenance department on-site.
* Identify potential safety hazards and risks on construction sites and develop proactive strategies to mitigate these risks.
* Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure adherence to safety protocols.
* Be a technical expert for LIFE Program/Risk management applicable to the projects.
* Have working knowledge in Environmental Programs relevant to the Construction Industry.
* Design and deliver extensive safety training programs for all site personnel, including contractors and subcontractors.
* Ensure that all team members are adequately trained in safety procedures and protocols.
* Lead investigations into any safety incidents or near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
* Maintain detailed records of all safety incidents and corrective measures taken.
* Foster collaboration with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to promote a culture of safety across all construction activities.
* Integrate safety considerations into all aspects of project planning and execution.
