Responsibilities of the Payroll Specialist Job:
As a Payroll Specialist, you’ll take ownership of end-to-end payroll processing across several EMEA countries:
* Prepare and submit monthly payroll files with accuracy and timeliness.
* Manage all payroll data inputs, including onboarding, exits, salary adjustments, and expense reimbursements.
* Oversee tax relief applications and country-specific employee registrations.
* Collaborate with external payroll providers and review preliminary reports prior to approval.
* Ensure ongoing compliance with local tax laws, company policies, and regulatory standards.
* Serve as the first point of contact for payroll-related employee questions.
* Administer monthly expense claims and conduct regular audits.
Requirements of the Payroll Specialist Job include:
* We’re looking for someone with a solid background in payroll who thrives in a collaborative, international setting:
* Experience handling payroll across EMEA or multiple global jurisdictions (preferred).
* Proven ability to manage high-volume, fast-paced transactional environments.
* Strong relationship-building skills, particularly with external payroll providers.
* Comfortable with inter-company and multi-currency payroll transactions.
* Detail-oriented, organised, and a self-starter.
* Team player with a willingness to support others during quieter periods.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
