Pensions Administrator Due to continued growth, Public Authority Pension Services Limited (PAPS) are expanding our team, and we are looking for a Pensions Administrator to join us and become an expert in public sector pension scheme rules & calculations. Our company offers support to a wide range of public sector bodies in the administration of their public sector pension schemes. The position being advertised will focus initially on administration requirements of bodies under the Single Public Service Pension Scheme (Single Scheme). Duties / Responsibilities Help provide a service that is comprehensive, timely and expert and maintains the excellent reputation that has been established by the PAPS team. Support in relation to the administration of the Single Scheme. Preparing benefit statements for bodies under the Single Scheme. Dealing with queries from public sector bodies in an efficient and timely manner. You will be required to work closely with the Office Manager and other team members, as required. Ad hoc duties as directed by the Office Manager/ Senior members of Staff. Answering phone, responding to emails and other general office duties. Full Training will be provided to develop your public sector pensions knowledge. Qualifications At a minimum you will be required to have completed your Leaving Certificate. Ideally you will be educated to Degree level or equivalent, but this is not essential. Experience Ideally the candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience in public or private sector pension administration. Applications will also be considered from those who have other relevant experience (e.g. 2 years in financial services). Technical Competencies & Non-Technical Competencies Strong working knowledge of MS Office package, in particular Excel, Word & Outlook. High levels of numerical accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent written communication skills essential. Good telephone manner and ability to effectively participate in video calls & in-person meeting. Be well organised and capable of working to tight deadlines. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and develop improved systems. Be an enthusiastic ambitious self-starter. Ability to work in a dynamic team environment. Salary Depending on relevant experience, starting salary will be in the €37k to €47k range plus Pension and Death in Service Benefit. Location The PAPS office is based in Block B, The Crescent Building, Northwood, Santry, Dublin 9. During an initial training period, the successful candidate should expect to be based in our office. On satisfactory completion of this period, it is intended that this role will be a hybrid working arrangement and it is envisaged that we will be working at least a portion of the week from home; you should be open to the possibility of this being the case if you were to join us. All staff may be required to work in the office on specified days, to facilitate training and/or specific tasks or projects. Career Progression PAPS is a growing company.
