Solar PV & BESS (Ireland) Senior Electrical Engineer - Founding Team Member The Opportunity Our global renewable energy infrastructure client is currently building over 300 MW of capacity annually. Following significant international growth, they are establishing a dedicated EPC subsidiary in Ireland.
We seek an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer who can serve as the primary electrical authority for utility-scale Solar PV and BESS projects. You will be responsible for transitioning our business from an agile start-up phase to a well-established market leader.
Key Responsibilities: Technical Leadership & Compliance Irish Grid Authority Act as the principal point of contact with Eir Grid and ESB, ensuring all projects meet rigorous Irish Grid Code and safety regulations Design & Review Prepare complex electrical designs, including AC/DC/HV/LV equipment, protection systems, and cable sizing Substation Oversight Lead technical interface for MV/HV substation design, construction, and commissioning Project Delivery & Operations Subcontractor Management Interface with Tier 1 electrical subcontractors to ensure technical assurance Active Site Involvement Participate in site-based supervision up to 3-4 days per week during peak construction windows Commissioning Support international teams executing pre-commissioning activities Business Support Provide technical expertise for tender documents Mentorship Guide graduate engineers
