RPS is delivering a significant portfolio of built environment projects, notably in Healthcare, Education, Housing and Critical infrastructure. We are appointed to deliver major projects for clients including the Health Service Executive on Major Capital Frameworks and the Department of Education Large Scale Capital Works Programmes. These projects are among the largest capital projects planned for delivery in the State. Role scope: We are seeking a Structural Engineer with 7+ years’ experience to join our growing structural engineering teams based in Dublin, Cork and Galway. The successful candidate will have a hands-on role in the design and delivery of structural engineering services across a broad and interesting range of projects.
Responsibilities
* Hands-on design and delivery of structural engineering services across a broad range of projects.
* Collaborate with Design Team members, Clients and Contractors to deliver projects.
* Engage in site visits and inspections where appropriate.
About You
* Masters or Honours Degree (Level 8+) in Structural Engineering;
* 7+ years’ experience working as a structural engineer on a broad range of developments;
* Experience with Eurocodes, ideally with work experience in Ireland, the UK or Europe;
* Aspiration to get Chartered with Engineers Ireland/ IStructE in the near future;
* Strong technical and analytical skills with demonstrable problem solving abilities;
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
* Ability to develop and nurture relationships with colleagues, Design Team members, Clients and Contractors;
* Excellent time management skills;
* Interested in continuous professional development and learning;
* Good IT skills and experience with structural analysis packages (e.g., Master series, Tedd’s, Robot, etc.);
* Full driving licence desirable and valid work permit to work in Ireland.
