About the Role:Little Kneaders are seeking a passionate and experienced Special Needs Assistant (SNA) to support the delivery of sensory play workshops in schools and services across Wexford on Friday mornings.The ideal candidate will have the qualifications and hands-on experience necessary to engage and support neurodivergent children of varying needs in a safe, inclusive, and sensory-friendly environment.This role is ideal for someone who is creative, calm under pressure, and has a deep understanding of how to adapt play and communication strategies for children with autism, ADHD, sensory processing differences, and other developmental needs.Key Responsibilities:Support the setup and delivery of sensory play workshops in schools and service settingsProvide 1:1 and group support to children during sessionsPromote inclusion, engagement, and safety through structured and unstructured sensory activitiesWork collaboratively with the lead facilitator to adapt activities as neededMaintain a calm and responsive approach to children's sensory and emotional needsAdditional Opportunities:There may be an opportunity for the successful candidate to assist at our Sensory Santa Event in December, supporting children during their visits in a low-stimulation, supportive festive environment.Requirements:Recognised SNA qualification (minimum Level 5 in Special Needs Assisting or equivalent)Proven experience working with neurodivergent children in school, service, or community settingsStrong understanding of sensory processing differences and related behavioursExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsFlexibility, reliability, and a proactive, child-centred approachAccess to own transport (some travel within Wexford required)Job Type: Part-timePay: €15.00 per hourWork Location: In person
