Medical Secretary Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Secretary to join our team. As a Medical Secretary, you will play a vital role in providing administrative support to our healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
* Shared responsibility for reception and appointment duties.
* Patient data input to Practice management system (Socrates).
* Shared responsibility for preparing repeat prescriptions and Social Welfare certificates.
* Typing of referral letters and all other assigned typing duties.
* Assist with billing and insurance claims.
* Maintain confidentiality and adhere to GDPR regulations.
* Filing and management of patient records, other administrative duties and general office duties as assigned.
Requirements
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and practice management systems.
* High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education preferred.
* Able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
