Financial Controller

As the Financial Controller, you will help ensure the efficient operation of the hotel's finance function. Reporting to the Financial Controller, General Manager, and other departments to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Review costs and margins regularly, identifying areas for savings and profitability improvement.
* Collaborate with hotel departments to ensure understanding and alignment with KPIs and financial goals.
* Prepare and analyze weekly revenue and payroll forecasts to support operational planning.
* Lead and support the month-end close process, including preparation of lead schedules and balance sheet reconciliations.
* Ensure robust financial controls, compliance with internal audits, and implementation of corrective actions.
* Act as a key advisor to the Financial Controller and General Manager on financial matters.
* Develop and deliver financial training for non-financial managers to enhance overall financial literacy.
* Build strong working relationships across departments, maintaining an approachable and supportive presence.
* Champion the use of technology to improve financial processes and operational efficiency.
* Manage income audits, debt collection, and liaise with the Shared Service Centre to ensure financial accuracy.
Requirements
* We are looking for an ambitious, confident, and professional individual with strong communication, organizational and analytical skills.
* The ideal candidate will demonstrate accounting experience, preferably in a hospitality, food & beverage environment or within the retail sector.
* The ideal candidate will be a qualified or part-qualified accountant. (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or other equivalent qualification)
* Strong Internal Control Awareness and knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
