The role integrates clinical leadership, operational oversight, business analysis, and people management to ensure optimal performance and patient outcomes.Will provide exceptional patient care in an environment where quality, respect, caring and compassion are at the centre of all we do.Key Responsibilities and DeliverablesClinical & Operational Oversight : Oversees daily operations ofNeuro Interventional Radiology and Cerebrovascular services in the Brain Institute, Beacon Hospital.Ensure compliance with clinical governance, safety protocols, and regulatory standards.Business Analysis & Service DevelopmentAnalyse service performance metrics (e.g. throughput, wait times, modality utilization)Develop and implement strategies for service expansion and efficiencyPrepare business cases for equipment upgrades, staffing models, and service redesignMonitor budgetary performance and contribute to financial planningLeadership & People ManagementLead a multidisciplinary team.Manage recruitment, onboarding, training, and professional development with the support from Head of Radiology OperationsFoster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvementConduct performance reviews and support staff wellbeingStakeholder EngagementLiaise with Multidisciplinary teamsWork closely with the Quality team, DPO, and Legal to ensure compliant software and data useRepresent Neuro interventional Radiology and Beacon Brain institute in hospital-wide strategic planning and governance forums.Person SpecificationQualificationsBSc RadiographyPost Graduate Education in Interventional radiologyPost Graduate qualification in LeadershipExperienceA minimum of 10 years experience working as a radiographerDemonstrate experience of working with a team of Radiographers.Competent in intravenous cannulation and contrast administration.Evidence of post registration professional development.Job Specific Competencies and knowledgeTeamworkDemonstrate ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.Demonstrate motivation and an innovative approach to the role.Knowledge/Professional KnowledgeDemonstrate clinical competence and relevant experience in an radiology department.Demonstrate an ability to contribute to overall service development.Planning & Organisational SkillsHave a high capacity for responsibility and individual initiative.Demonstrate organisational skills including effective time management.Demonstrate ability to manage clinical and non-clinical situations.Have a proven ability to work under pressure.Communication & Interpersonal SkillsDemonstrate excellent communication skills, especially the ability to communicate clear and concise instructions to patients in an understandable manner.Be able to deal with staff and management at all levels within the organisation.Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.Customer/Client FocusDemonstrate an awareness and appreciation of the service user.Demonstrate evidence of ability to empathise with and treat patients, relatives and colleagues with dignity and respect.Personal CompetenciesAll posts in Beacon Hospital require a high level of flexibility to ensure the delivery of an effective and efficient service.
