Overview
At GRID Finance, our mission is to support 10,000 small businesses through innovative software and lending products. We’re a purpose-driven fintech with big ambitions and a small, dynamic team. Every day, we help real businesses across Ireland access the finance they need to grow — and as we scale, our Credit function is at the heart of making smart, data-led decisions.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a motivated recent graduate (finance, science, or related) to join our Credit Team. This is a training role designed to give you the foundation to grow into a Credit Analyst within 24 months. You’ll learn the full lending journey — from reviewing applications, to engaging with customers, to making data-driven decisions — all while contributing to a fintech that’s shaping the future of SME finance in Ireland.
What you’ll do (your first 12 months)
* Support the Credit and Operations teams with day-to-day lending processes and credit administration.
* Learn to prepare and analyse Credit Packs to support lending decisions.
* Engage with SME customers to understand their businesses and financial needs.
* Liaise with frontline teams on application queries and issue resolution.
* Contribute to collections and recovery processes, gaining exposure to real-world credit risk management.
* Undertaking standalone projects involving in depth data analytics and contributing to wider team product and process development
* Undertake further learning, both internally and externally, to gain a deeper understanding of the role, sector, and our customers.
How you’ll grow
* 0–6 months: Hands-on training in credit administration, data analysis, and customer engagement.
* 6–12 months: Take ownership of credit assessments, supported by senior colleagues.
* 12–24 months: Progress towards Credit Analyst responsibilities — leading evaluations, making recommendations, influencing decisions and driving future department direction.
What we’re looking for
* A recent graduate in finance, science, or similar.
* Needs to have a good understanding and knowledge of Business financial statements.
* Curious, analytical, and eager to learn by doing.
* Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills (Excel skills are a significant plus).
* Comfortable with technology and adapting to evolving systems.
* Strong communication skills and a willingness to engage with customers and colleagues.
* A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, small-team environment.
What’s in it for you
* Competitive salary (~€30,000) and bonus scheme.
* Pension programme, healthcare & wellbeing allowances.
* Employee Share Ownership scheme.
* Support to complete the Professional Diploma in SME Credit and/or progress towards becoming a Qualified Financial Advisor (QFA)
* Real responsibility from day one, with structured training and mentorship.
* A clear career path into Credit Analysis in a growing fintech.
* The chance to work on purpose-driven initiatives.
