Job Title: Entry-Level Design Specialist
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of one year of relevant design experience, with a hands-on approach and a willingness to learn. They will collaborate closely with senior engineers and project teams to provide support for all stages of design and documentation across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the design of building systems, including HVAC, power distribution, lighting, and controls.
* Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using computer-aided design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks).
* Develop electrical schematics, panel layouts, and cable routing diagrams.
* Participate in site visits, surveys, and technical assessments.
* Support the preparation of technical reports, calculations, and equipment schedules.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, contractors, and consultants.
* Ensure designs meet industry codes, client specifications, and internal quality standards.
* Maintain accurate project documentation and adhere to timelines.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or related field).
* Minimum of one year experience in a mechanical/electrical design engineering environment.
* Proficient in AutoCAD; experience with Revit and/or SolidWorks is highly desirable.
* Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical building services systems.
* Strong attention to detail and analytical approach to problem-solving.
