Bookkeeper/Accounting Technician
We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper/Accounting Technician to join our team in North Dublin on a 12-month maternity contract.
Job Summary:
This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented and organized individual to provide bookkeeping and accounts administration support across three separate business entities. As part of our small, collaborative team, you will work closely with another accounting team member and contribute to maintaining accurate financial records.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Data Entry: Accurate entry of purchases and sales data into our systems
* Reconciliation: Reconcile bank accounts, debtors, and creditors to ensure accuracy and completeness
* Monthly Invoicing: Prepare and send out monthly invoices to clients
* Expense Management: Track and report expenditure, as well as manage team expenses
* Financial Reporting: Assist the accountant with month-end and year-end reporting, preparing full accounts to trial balance stage
* Administrative Tasks: Submission of VAT Returns, PAYE and RCT, as well as other ad hoc administrative tasks as required
Requirements:
* Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with colleagues and clients
* Initiative and Time Management: Ability to take initiative and manage a busy office environment with multiple priorities
* Reporting Deadlines: Meet reporting deadlines with accuracy and efficiency
* Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years experience in a similar role, preferably in IT systems, Microsoft Office, and Xero (training provided)
