Title:Project Engineer – Pharma NPILocation:WestportSalary:€45 – €54 per hourType:12-Month Rolling ContractREF Code:DES-1109Only candidates currently based in Ireland with a valid work visa or EU passport will be considered.OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Project Engineer witha minimum of 5+ years of robust project management experience, capable ofsimultaneously overseeing and delivering multiple engineering projectswithin a high-performance pharmaceutical environment. This role involves leading projects related tonew product introductions,process improvements,automation,aseptic processing, and theintegration of new processing equipment– includingfacility and utility modificationswhere required.The successful candidate will be accountable for ensuring all assigned projects are executedon time, within scope, and within budget. The Project Engineer will report to the Senior Manager, Engineering, who will provide guidance and support to ensure design, equipment, and facility deliverables are consistently met.Key Responsibilities1. People & Project LeadershipSafely coordinate and lead cross-functional teams to deliver multiple concurrent projects involving new or upgraded processing equipment.Processing equipment may include: Autoclaves, RABS and Isolator Filling Machines, LAF Units, Compounding Skids, Vessels, Containment Booths, and Stopper Processing Equipment .Prepare User Requirement Specifications (URS) for new equipment.Identify and evaluate vendors; complete vendor assessment matrices .Prepare all project documentation, including RCEs, purchase orders, and project plans .Conduct design reviews and facilitate project meetings across teams and stakeholders.Ensure compliance with ASME BPE 2019, ISPE guidelines, and relevant industry standards.Oversee equipment installation, utility tie-ins, and service integration.Lead the project team through Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) .Manage all equipment documentation requirements.Support commissioning, qualification, and engineering activities .Deliver handover training and coordinate O&M manuals, spare parts lists, and preventive maintenance schedules.2. Product & Process SupportSupport technical troubleshooting for product manufacturing and aseptic filling processes.Lead and contribute to process optimisation and cost-reduction initiatives .3. Communication & MeetingsLead weekly or bi-weekly project review meetings with assigned stakeholders.Participate in scheduled departmental and management meetings as required.Requirements: Education & ExperienceThird-level qualification in Engineering or a related discipline.Minimum 5 years' experience within the biologics or pharmaceutical industry.Minimum 5+ years of project engineering and/or project management, with proven capability to manage multiple active projects concurrently in a cleanroom (Class A/B) pharmaceutical environment .Strong project management track record with demonstrated delivery against scope, schedule, and budget.Strong technical aptitude with a proactive, hands-on approach .Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with all project stakeholders.Demonstrated leadership capabilities and proven experience coordinating across multiple departments.To discuss this role in more detail, contactCornéat orfor a confidential discussion.
