This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring safety standards are maintained across all our sites. The candidate must have Irish Health & Safety experience.
Key Accountabilities
1. Implementing and monitoring site-specific Health & Safety plans.
2. Keeping detailed records of inspection results and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
3. Organising, attending, and chairing safety meetings to ensure clear communication and alignment on safety practices.
4. Providing ongoing Health & Safety training and support to staff and subcontractors.
5. Reporting and investigating accidents, incidents, and near misses, ensuring appropriate follow-up and preventative measures.
6. Ensuring all equipment is safe to operate, working closely with site managers and maintenance teams.
7. Maintaining accurate records of all safety documentation, inspections, and audits.
8. Ensuring adherence to Health & Safety legislation and company policies in accordance with Health & Safety Authority requirements.
Qualifications And Experience
1. An accredited degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field (recognised by the Health & Safety Authority).
2. Previous experience as a Health & Safety Officer in the construction industry, preferably with a Main Contractor on residential developments.
3. Strong knowledge of Irish Health & Safety regulations.
4. Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
5. Ability to manage multiple sites and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
6. Must have a full clean driving licence and access to a car.
7. Minimum 5 years’ experience required.
