Recruitment Consultant at ProSource Group – We are seeking an Experienced Site Engineer to join a leading infrastructure and utilities contractor delivering critical civil engineering projects across Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity for a site-based engineer who thrives on precision, autonomy, and being hands-on with major infrastructure works.
Responsibilities
* Setting out for roads, foundations, utilities, drainage, ducting, and structural elements using GPS, Total Station, and AutoCAD.
* Interpreting technical drawings and project specifications, ensuring construction aligns with approved plans and tolerances.
* Conducting as-built surveys, recording progress, and producing accurate site records and reports.
* Collaborating closely with site managers, engineers, and subcontractors, offering technical support and ensuring efficient sequencing of work.
* Monitoring site levels and alignments, ensuring work is delivered within tight tolerances and deadlines.
* Maintaining equipment and calibrating instruments, ensuring reliability and accuracy at all times.
* Contributing to quality assurance and control, including checking materials, verifying dimensions, and completing inspection records.
* Supporting health and safety compliance, participating in site briefings, and reporting any concerns or incidents.
Requirements
* 3+ years of experience in a setting out or site engineering role.
* Strong working knowledge of GPS, Total Station (e.g. Leica/Trimble), and AutoCAD.
* Background in civil engineering projects such as roads, utilities, housing, or large-scale infrastructure.
* Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction, or Surveying.
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently on-site.
* Full driving licence (Manual) and willingness to travel to various sites.
