About Your New Job Own the development of daily transport schedules for designated regions or customer groups, collaborating with fellow planners to align resources.
Double-check plans for accuracy and aim to maximise efficiency in driver, vehicle, and equipment use.
Work cross-functionally with other planners to manage the allocation and movement of trailers, trucks, and drivers.
Partner with Key Account Administrators to ensure seamless service delivery, from clear communication to on-time paperwork.
Ensure all drivers receive clear, concise daily instructions and updates as needed.
Handle changes or discrepancies in job instructions quickly and liaise with the relevant teams to resolve issues.
Keep a close watch on working hours to promote fair, compliant scheduling and weekly reviews.
Support leave planning while ensuring operational needs are covered, especially during peak times.
Jump in to assist Key Account Admins whenever extra hands are needed.
Flag any safety or HR concerns with the Transport Manager or SHEQ lead immediately.
Work with senior management to define and deliver against KPIs that reflect operational success What Skills You Need Previous work experience in transport planning is an advantage.
Excellent organizational skills are essential for this role.
