Graduate Civil Engineer Flood & Infrastructure A leading Irish consultancy is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to join their Flood & Dam Division. With opportunities based in either Dublin or Galway, this is a great role for someone who wants hands-on experience across nationally significant flood risk, hydrology and water-infrastructure projects all while working closely with senior engineers who will support your technical and professional development. Sample Projects: Flood Risk Assessments for major Irish developments (Stages 13) Hydrological analysis and river modelling for strategic infrastructure Flood Relief Scheme design and technical documentation Reservoir and dam safety inspections across Ireland Water infrastructure construction supervision and contract administration Requirements: Level 8 Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent 1-4 years experience (graduates with relevant exposure also considered) Good understanding of hydrology/river modelling principles Strong communication skills and ability to work well within project teams Proficiency in software such as HEC-RAS 1D/2D, Flood Modeller, AutoCAD, Innovyze/MicroDrainage Working knowledge of Microsoft Project and willingness to develop skills in GIS tools such as ArcGIS, QGIS or MapInfo Awareness of public procurement procedures and thresholds Familiarity with construction contracts including PWMF and RIAI forms Salary & Benefits: €35-45k (Depending on experience) + Benefits Clear development pathway with exposure to major national projects Supportive, collaborative team environment with senior mentorship Hybrid flexibility depending on project needs Long-term progression opportunities within a specialist division How to Apply If youre a Graduate Civil Engineer ready to build your career in flood risk, hydrology and water infrastructure, reach out and share your CV.
