Position Overview: As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing quality care and support to our residents. You will work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to ensure the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents. Your compassionate nature, strong interpersonal skills, and willingness to go the extra mile will make a significant impact on the lives of our residents and their families.
Responsibilities
* Assisting residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
* Providing emotional support and companionship to residents
* Assisting with mobility and transferring residents safely
* Promoting independence and maintaining a comfortable and homely environment
* Supporting residents during meal times and ensuring their nutritional needs are met
* Collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans
* Documenting resident activities, observations, and any changes in condition
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant is preferred, but we also welcome applications from candidates with a genuine interest in pursuing a career in healthcare.
* A compassionate and empathetic nature, with a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
* Knowledge of infection control procedures and health and safety standards.
* Relevant qualifications or certifications in healthcare assistance are desirable but not essential.
