Medical Scientist / Biomedical Scientist (Blood Sciences)
Reporting to the Chief Scientists and/or Laboratory Services Manager in our AutoLab (Blood Sciences), the
Medical Scientist/Biomedical Scientist
will have responsibility for performing automated Haematology, Clinical Chemistry and Immunoassay analysis together with blood parasitology; Manual differential analysis and sample preparation; Clinical Chemistry and Haematology analysis.
Evaluation and authorisation of results.
Carrying out clerical and technical tasks in accordance with sample handling procedures, maintaining policies and procedures, review and update as required.
While working with colleagues to contribute towards the continuous improvement of the department.
Participate in the development and maintenance of the ISO ***** quality management system which is patient centred and ensures quality focused results are provided for patient care and to assist in the Total Quality Improvement of the department.
