Role Summary:
As a Staff Nurse, you will provide high-quality nursing care, ensuring a safe and person-centred approach in line with hospital policies and professional guidelines. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to support quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care to all patients.
* Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care in collaboration with patients and multidisciplinary teams.
* Ensure accurate documentation and maintenance of patient records.
* Administer medication and treatment as prescribed, adhering to hospital and NMBI guidelines.
* Promote infection prevention and control practices.
* Support new staff and student nurses through education and mentoring.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits to enhance patient safety and service delivery.
Qualifications:
* Registered General Nurse (RGN) with An Bord Altranais / NMBI (active PIN).
* Minimum 1 year post-registration experience in an acute hospital setting (Medical / Surgical / Theatre / Day Unit / HDU desirable).
* Excellent clinical, communication, and organisational skills.
* Commitment to continuous professional development.
* Eligibility to work in Ireland (EU passport or valid work permit).
* Previous experience in Medical, Surgical, Day Surgery, Oncology, Endoscopy, Orthopaedics, Theatre, or Cardiac Services.
* Post-graduate qualification or ongoing study in a relevant specialty area.
* Strong teamwork ethos and patient advocacy mindset.
