Electrical / Controls Design Engineer

About the Role
We are looking for electrical / controls design engineers, preferably with industrial design experience.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on large and small industrial projects.
Design electrical services packages in AutoCAD and Revit under the guidance of a senior electrical engineer.
Design MV and LV electrical systems, including MCCs, distribution boards, cabling, lighting, and emergency lighting.
Develop technical specifications, scopes of work, tender documentation, cable calculations, wiring diagrams, schematics, loop sheets, and other electrical deliverables.
Participate in constructability, safety, and quality reviews.
Design life safety systems, including fire alarms and security systems.
Support tender evaluation and bid analysis processes.
Conduct peer reviews as part of internal quality control procedures.
Conduct site visits to survey, monitor, review, and validate electrical installations as required.
Attend client and project team meetings.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
5+ years of formal experience in industrial electrical design; data centre experience is a plus.
Hands-on experience with AutoCAD and BIM/Revit; familiarity with electrical design software such as SKM (PTW) is advantageous.
Proven experience in electrical engineering design services, including MV/LV power distribution, generators, UPS systems, lighting, small power, voice/data, cable containment, fire alarms, security, lightning protection, earthing and bonding, hazardous areas, and specialist control systems.
Knowledge of applicable electrical engineering codes and standards.
Experience developing electrical protection systems, short-circuit studies, arc-flash analysis, and discrimination studies.
Ability to propose alternative solutions, implement value-engineering, and adopt new technologies.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
