Job Description
Civils Construction Site Managers are responsible for overseeing the effective management of site works, addressing issues with the construction manager and safety lead. They monitor subcontractor compliance with project HSE plans and implement performance improvements in health, safety, and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct and lead site safety audits with subcontractors, ensuring adherence to safety standards and promoting a culture of safety.
* Oversee daily resource allocation and enforce effective housekeeping practices across the site.
* Participate in the development, drafting, logic loading, and tracking of construction schedules to ensure performance aligns with approved timelines.
* Provide input and attend daily construction coordination meetings to facilitate smooth workflow and resolve design queries effectively.
* Organize regular meetings with contractors to discuss and document contract-related issues, ensuring strong contractor relationships and communication.
* Maintain a comprehensive daily log of site activities, communications, and progress to ensure transparency and accountability.
Required Skills and Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, project management, or a related field, with relevant training and education in construction and project management is required. Minimum of 3 years experience in a supervisory role within civil construction, with a strong understanding of scopes and general experience in refining or similar environments is also needed.
