Job Title: Whey Operator
Whey Operatives are sought for a challenging role at our site, working within the packing department.
The successful candidates will be required to efficiently manage and operate in accordance with the daily production plan. They must be confident working in a fast-paced environment involving the use of machinery, paperwork, and following strict health and safety protocols.
Responsibilities include overseeing the operation of the whey plant from a computer terminal, loading tankers, and maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the facility. The candidate must comply with all necessary protocols and safe working practices, monitoring product and process performance, and conducting quality tests as needed.
Additional duties involve making adjustments to processes and products to meet internal and external standards, communicating effectively with personnel, and assisting QA operators in product release/hold duties when requested by their team leader.
* Essential:
o Minimum 6 months' experience in a production or manufacturing environment
o Competent numeracy and literacy skills
o Knowledge of equipment, processes, and standards in a production or manufacturing environment
* Desirable:
o English, Maths GCSE/O Level or equivalent (min C grade)
o Relevant experience in food/dairy manufacturing and production
o Knowledge of equipment and processes in the food/dairy production environment
