We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our clients Mechanical Design team and drive the successful delivery of complex, high-value projects for the pharmaceutical and life sciences sectors.
In this leadership role, you will oversee project execution from design through delivery, ensuring quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with Project Management, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Quality teams to align technical outputs with project and business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and develop a team of mechanical engineers to deliver on project commitments
* Oversee engineering workflows, documentation, and design quality processes
* Drive the effective use of CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks or SolidEdge) and design standardisation
* Manage multiple projects to ensure delivery within scope, budget, and timelines
* Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce design cycle time, and enhance quality
* Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation
Requirements:
* Degree (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
* 10+ years’ mechanical design experience in a project-based engineering or manufacturing environment
* Proven leadership and project management experience
* Strong understanding of GMP design principles, ideally within pharmaceutical or life sciences industries
* Proficiency in 3D CAD systems and engineering documentation
