Overview
On behalf of our client, a leading renewable energy firm, we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Modeller to join their high-performing team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining sophisticated financial models to support investment decisions, acquisitions, and strategic planning across the business.
Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver robust and transparent project finance models for investment appraisal, acquisition analysis, forecasting, and debt structuring.
* Mentor and support junior team members in best practices for financial modelling and model governance.
* Ensure data integrity by applying stringent validation processes and incorporating robust checks and controls within all models.
* Review and improve existing models, including those prepared externally, ensuring they align with business needs and financial modelling standards.
Requirements
* A minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience, with a strong academic background in a numerate discipline (minimum 2:1 degree).
* Proven expertise in project finance modelling, with advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of VBA.
* Strong communication skills, with experience in preparing reports and presentations for senior stakeholders.
* Ability to work collaboratively on multi-disciplinary teams, demonstrating strong analytical and business diagnostic skills.
