The Sea Fisheries Protection Authority (SFPA) is seeking to recruit a panel of suitable candidates to fill Executive Officer vacancies in Clonakilty, Co. Cork.Key Duties and Responsibilities:EO Administrative Support duties include, but are not limited to:Provide administrative and secretarial supportThe checking, recording and issuing of documentsPreparation and management of documentation and it's input and validation on relevant systemsDealing directly with the public in support of services provided to themThe delivery of an efficient and effective customer serviceThe critical analysis of proposals and reports and the examination of the more complex, non-routine cases on which decisions are requiredEssential Criteria:Candidates must meet the following essential requirements prior to the closing date of the competition:Have obtained in the Leaving Certificate Examination a minimum of grade D at Ordinary (or Pass) level in Mathematics and Irish or English, having obtained a minimum of Grade C in at least five subjects at Higher (or Honours) level papers;ORHold a qualification, that in the opinion of the SFPA, is of a standard in terms of both level and volume of learning that is of at least an equivalent or higher standard to the Leaving Certificate (this will only be determined during the selection process or if a candidate comes under consideration for a position);ORHave passed the first year examination of a course leading to a third level qualification;ANDTwo or more years' direct experience as a senior administrator or demonstrable equivalent experience within a fast-paced administration environment,Demonstrable administrative & organisational skills,Have effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact at all levels within the organisation,Be numerate and IT literate, and be familiar with the following software packages (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint) at a minimum,Be able to complete all tasks to a high standard,Have a strong ethos of confidentiality,Be self-motivated and prepared to be flexible when the occasion demands,Excellent attention to detail and analytical ability,Excellent customer service skills,Fluent spoken and written English is essential.Desirable Criteria:Third level qualification.How to Apply:Completed application formsmust beuploaded viano later than5pm (Irish time)onWednesday 11th February 2026.Applications will not be accepted by any other method, nor if received after the closing date.
