Job Title: Water Treatment Engineer
As a Commissioning Process Engineer, you will be responsible for the commissioning of water treatment equipment at municipal and industrial levels. You will work on various processes such as coagulation, flocculation, clarification, filtration, UV disinfection, chlorine disinfection, conventional activated sludge, SBR's, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Decide on treatment process design and recommend solutions to engineering problems
* Handle various chemicals and high-pressure systems safely
* Carry out instrumentation analysis and calibrations
* Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain air compressors, sludge pumps, and chemical pumps
* Commission pneumatic systems and control valves
* Capture data and develop dashboards for easy analysis
* Write standard operating procedures and manuals
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Industrial Engineering (required)
* Master's degree in Water Treatment or equivalent experience (desirable)
* Minimum 2 years of field or applied research laboratory experience in chemical processes
* Good understanding of water treatment and wastewater treatment processes
* Proficient with PLC and SCADA systems
* Practical knowledge in electricity, mechanics, hydraulics, and control
* Training and experience in working at height and in confined spaces
Working Conditions:
The successful candidate will work independently and follow instructions, providing updates and feedback to the direct manager in a timely manner. They must also be available to travel between 50-100% of the time and have a full clean driving license and own transport.
