Syntech Recruitment is partnering with one of Ireland’s leading mechanical services companies to find a talented Senior Mechanical Engineer. This role offers the opportunity to work on a mix of office-based and on-site projects, with the potential for a hybrid working arrangement after six months. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, skilled professional with excellent time management, prioritisation, and communication skills. Responsibilities:
* Liaising with clients, design teams, and contractors throughout projects.
* Participating in coordination meetings with design teams.
* Conducting design reviews and validating equipment, pipe, and duct sizes.
* Developing technical submittals, equipment registers, and trackers.
* Managing the execution of commissioning test certificates.
* Overseeing mechanical-related RFIs during the construction phase.
* Managing all drawing activities, including requests, reviews, updates to as-built status, and issuing of soft and hard copy masters.
Requirements:
* Experience:
o Minimum of 3+ years as a Mechanical Project Engineer.
o Residential and commercial project experience is essential.
* Technical Skills:
o Proficient in AutoCAD and other software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
o Solid understanding of M&E systems within buildings.
* Personal Attributes:
o Strong team player with the ability to work independently when required.
o Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
o Proven ability to coordinate effectively on projects.
* Other Qualifications:
o A relevant qualification in Building Mechanical Services Engineering is desirable.
o A full, clean Irish driving licence is required.
