Senior Instructor Community Integration & Day Services (Initial Assignment Social & Rec, Beaufort Campus) (Permanent Full Time Contract) This role will support individuals to create opportunities to have valued social roles in their communities and provide learning and development opportunities while supervising the day to day running of the programme The successful candidate requires: A relevant Third Level Qualification in Social Care, Education, Health and Leisure, Community or other (FETAC Level 6 or higher). He/She supports and assists in all activities of daily living in line with the needs and wishes of the individual as outlined in an agreed care plan. A minimum two years experience of supporting adults with an intellectual disability post qualification. Available to work evenings and weekends as required. Experience of working with adults with moderate/severe intellectual disability advantageous. Demonstrable Management/Supervisory experience. An ability to facilitate, instruct and support service-users in a variety of service and community-based programmes. Previous experience in training and community development demonstrating leadership qualities. Proficient IT skills and report writing. Excellent communication, teamwork, administrative, co-ordination, analytical and interpersonal skills. A full clean drivers licence for a manual vehicle, D/D1 licence would be an advantage.
