Overview For informal enquiries please contact: Name:Priya Madhu Email: The role will support the General Manager by: Taking responsibility for theunitsday to day operational management and co-ordination ofpatientservices within the hospitals Taking responsibility for operational matters relating to scheduled and unscheduled care patient pathways Ensuringthe effective and efficient functioning of the Hospital,throughservice planning, business and performance management and the improvement ofgeneral patient services. Workingwiththe Hospital Executive team in pursuing the Hospitalsobjectivesand report directly to the Hospital Manager, acting within policy, financial and other frameworks set by theHSE/Hospital Group. Maintainingeffective communicationwith patients, relatives,treating Consultants,members of Healthcare Teams and with relevant external bodies including public representativesto ensure there is an effective flow of information in terms of awareness and understanding of related matters. Liaisonand engagementwith respective RCSI HospitalCommittees in the coordination of Hospital Groupobjectivesasdeterminedby the RCSI Hospital Group executive team. Therole is structured to take account of the demands of a 24/7 operation in collaboration with other members of the Hospital ExecutiveCommitteeand will require a commitment to out of hours cover. Essential Criteria Candidates must by the closing date of application: Essential: Candidates must have experience within a Healthcare environment/ backgroundrelevant to the role Candidates mustpossesssufficient administrative capacity to discharge the functions of the office and have management ability and experience A proventrack recordof ServiceManagement, ideally in a healthcare driven industry is essential Arelevant professional / 3rdlevel qualification Health A candidate for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as wouldindicatea reasonable prospect of ability torenderregular and efficient service.
