Mechanical/HVAC Engineer x 2
Our client is a leading global EPCM company with worldwide operations and projects across Ireland.
They are currently seeking experienced Mechanical/HVAC Engineers to join their team.
They have two positions available.
This role involves working as part of a multi-discipline highly interactive and coordinated team focused on projects including semiconductor manufacturing, assembly & test facilities, and other state of the art advanced facilities.
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual with strong communication skills and a passion for applying their professional experience and knowledge in a team environment on technically challenging and rewarding projects.
They understand the importance of meeting commitments while remaining flexible in a fast-paced, ever-changing client environment.
Responsibilities
Coordinate, allocate, and assign essential engineering and design tasks to develop construction documents in collaboration with a team of engineers and designers.
Manage scope, budget and schedule to meet project goals.
Coordinate and collaborate real time with other disciplines such as electrical, structural, architectural and process to develop designs.
Independently lead plant design activities as an area/system leader and coordinate with multi-discipline designers.
Participate in design reviews, risk assessments and vendor bid evaluations.
Assist in the generation of proposals, scopes, schedules and budgets for projects.
Perform Mech/HVAC plant design work across several engineering disciplines in 2D/3D integrated design systems.
Execute quality review checks for 2D/3D modelling and Mech/HVAC deliverables.
Develops designer effort-hour estimates for Mech/HVAC discipline.
Are responsible for up front site selection and due diligence activities.
Apply judgment in developing plans or alternatives and work with teams to assure quality plans.
Execute field activities such as observation of construction activities.
Review construction submittals for conformance with the intent of contract and design documents.
Provide guidance and mentoring to project engineers and designers on a project-by-project basis.
Requirements
Minimum qualification of bachelor's degree in building services/mechanical engineering.
5+ years of engineering/design experience in the Mech/HVAC systems.
Preferable experience in semiconductor or large-scale industrial projects, with skills including wet and dry processes, calculations, specifications, detailing, and equipment sizing.
Proficient in Microsoft suite (Excel).
Relevant experience in engineering/design in industrial/advanced technology sector.
Excellent command of English, written and spoken.
Ability to interact with other engineering disciplines, clients, and vendors at all levels.
Experience using Navisworks in a BIM environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
