 
        
        A Global semiconductor giant based in Cork are seeking to bolster their team with a talented Systems Architect.
Please note this opportunity is based on-site in Cork.
Responsibilities:
 * Collaborate across hardware, software, and systems teams to define and design cutting-edge SoC architectures for products spanning smartphones, tablets, wearables, IoT, automotive, and more.
 * Conduct detailed workload, algorithm, and power-performance analyses using simulators, profilers, and prototype hardware to guide architectural decisions.
 * Partner with design, verification, software, marketing, and product planning teams to ensure cohesive SoC solutions aligned with business goals.
 * Drive the development of new system solutions supporting emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, AR/VR, and advanced multimedia systems.
 * Present experimental findings, influence design choices, contribute patents, and help shape Qualcomm's leadership in high-performance, power-efficient SoC design.
Requirements:
 * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's or PhD preferred).
 * Minimum of 7 years in systems engineering, SoC architecture, or related hardware/software design roles.
 * Background in SoC and computer architecture with exposure to CPUs, GPUs, DSPs, cache coherency, virtual memory, and embedded systems.
 * Proficiency in C/C++, SystemC, Python, or similar scripting languages; familiarity with simulation, modelling, and performance optimisation tools.
 * Strong analytical and communication abilities with a proven track record of cross-functional collaboration, creative problem solving, and continuous learning.
