Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a key member of the construction team, you will be responsible for managing and forecasting project cash flow, ensuring compliance with Contract schedules, and providing weekly reports on planned versus actual progress.
Main Responsibilities:
* Manage and forecast project cash flow, ensuring timely payments to subcontractors and suppliers.
* Ensure compliance with Contract schedules, identifying and mitigating potential risks and delays.
* Provide weekly reports to the construction team on planned versus actual progress, highlighting areas for improvement.
* Liaise and report to the Managing Surveyor and Contracts Manager, ensuring seamless communication across teams.
* Develop and maintain relationships with clients, supporting their activities and maintaining positive relations on behalf of the company.
* Ensure the Construction Team adheres to all Contractual Requirements, enforcing compliance and best practices.
* Commercial and contractual control of sub-contractor accounts, ensuring accurate invoicing and payment.
* Cost monitoring and reporting, attending monthly cost reporting meetings to ensure transparency and accountability.
Requirements:
* Degree Qualified in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics, demonstrating expertise in financial management and contract administration.
* 3+ years' experience working as a QS with a building contractor, showcasing ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Proven track record in dealing with subcontractors and clients, demonstrating effective communication and interpersonal skills.
