This is a senior leadership role withstrategic, commercial, and operational responsibilityacross multiple regions.The successful candidate will lead and develop departmental and construction teams, contribute to business development activity, support tendering processes, and ensure consistent, high-quality project delivery while maintaining exceptional client relationships.Key ResponsibilitiesSenior Leadership & ManagementAct as an effective member of the senior management team, adopting a whole-company approach to decision-making.Attend and contribute to management meetings, presenting clear and accurate departmental reports.Lead and manage departmental teams, ensuring best practice, cost control, revenue generation, and profitability.Continuously seek opportunities to add value and improve operational efficiency.Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, influencers, and decision-makers.Work closely with the Commercial Department to engage with clients at the earliest project stages.Identify, manage, and report commercial and contractual risks to the Board in a timely manner.Project PlanningWork with the Project Planner to develop detailed project programmes, identifying critical paths and key milestones .Ensure robust resource planning across all projects, including labour strategies and labour histograms.Develop resourcing and mobilisation strategies for overseas projects, including skilled labour sourcing.Plan project logistics, including accommodation, travel, transport, work permits, and local Health & Safety and certification requirements .Visit new project locations, identify suitable local suppliers, and gain a thorough understanding of site conditions.Project ExecutionOversee the preparation and implementation of project-specific safety documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, and quality assurance plans.Oversee the design process to ensure full compliance with specifications and Bills of Quantities .Safeguard the company's contractual position through accurate reporting of site events and timely written communication with Main Contractors.Maintain senior-level visibility on sites and ensure strong client engagement throughout project delivery.Person SpecificationConstruction-related degree or equivalent (Construction Science or Engineering preferred).Minimum 15 years' experience in a senior management role, ideally within roofing, cladding, or building envelope sectors.Strong technical knowledge of roofing, cladding, and façade construction methods, including safety standards.Proven track record of successfully delivering medium to large-scale projects .Demonstrable experience in budget management, commercial control, and business development .Strong financial and commercial acumen with meticulous attention to detail.Excellent leadership, communication, and people-management skills.High IT proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); Microsoft Project advantageous .Strong customer focus with the ability to build long-term strategic relationships.Impeccable organisational skills with a collaborative team ethos.Full, current driving licence.Fluent in English.Willing and available to lead projects across Ireland, the UK, and Europe, including potential rotational site commitments.BenefitsCompany eventsCompany pensionEmployee assistance programmePrivate medical insuranceCrown is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all suitably qualified persons.
