Overview:
We are seeking a proactive Business Development Specialist (Intern) to drive marketing, lead generation, and sales activities for our software solutions targeted at retail and small business customers. This is a performance-driven, commission-based internship with a clear path to employment for candidates who deliver measurable results.
Key Responsibilities:
* Identify and research potential retail and small business customers
* Generate qualified leads through online research, outreach, and networking
* Conduct outbound calls, emails, and social media campaigns to engage prospects
* Support the development and execution of marketing campaigns
* Present and demonstrate software solutions to prospective customers
* Manage and update CRM with leads, opportunities, and follow-ups
* Assist in building sales pipelines and forecasting revenue
* Collaborate with the sales and product teams to refine messaging and offerings
Requirements:
* Strong interest in business development, marketing, and sales
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Self-motivated and results-oriented with a proactive mindset
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
* Comfortable using CRM, email marketing tools, and online lead-generation platforms
* Basic understanding of retail and small business operations is a plus as well as understanding of SaaS
