Industrial Automation Role
We are seeking an experienced automation engineer to join our team. As a key member of the digital manufacturing group, you will be responsible for managing and delivering projects to customer sites.
Your primary focus will be on developing engineering design documents, technical evaluations, and test plans for cGMP process equipment, ensuring adherence to GAMP 5 guidelines.
You will also be designing and coding industrial process automation solutions on Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), producing I/O schedules, and preparing Functional Design specifications.
Additionally, you will be responsible for designing and configuring user interface systems for industrial control (HMI/SCADA) and commissioning control systems in the field, including I/O and instrumentation testing and full testing and commissioning of automation systems.
Other responsibilities include fault finding of control systems, providing design and approval for hardware, software, and controls for automated systems, and working closely with customers to identify areas for improvement through the use of automation and data analytics technology.
You will be part of a dynamic team that prioritizes collaboration, problem-solving, and customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Computer Science/Information Systems or a related field, as well as 3+ years' experience in automation engineering.
You should possess knowledge of process instrumentation and wiring, experience with control networks and communications systems (Profibus, Modbus, DeviceNet), and experience working with validated Automation systems in the Pharmaceutical or Food Beverage manufacturing environment.
To succeed in this role, you should have excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills, be able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and multitask under pressure.
