PurchasingJob PurposeDeliver the successful procurement of nominated ingredients and packaging items in a timely and commercial manner in support of the goals of the businessReports ToBuyerKey ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to:Source materials and packaging required by the business from approved suppliersSupport the sourcing of new raw materials (NRM's) for TCFG Culinary & Innovation (C&I) department, within agreed timelines for project success.Maintain the NRM tracker and workflows as required and liaise with the NPD team to ensure all new raw materials being used in product development are in line with relevant customer codes of practise, supplier policies and EU legislation and are in line with all relevant internal department requirementsIntervene as required in areas of risk management prevention to ensure that disruption to supply is minimisedIn conjunction with functional team members, introduce new sources and/or rationalise to develop and drive a cost reduction programme across all suppliers without impact on quality of materials currently been purchasedSupport in building and maintaining strong relationships with all current and new suppliersIn conjunction with SCM, manage, monitor and measure supplier lead times and performance, taking corrective action where necessary. Build and maintain strong relationships with all key suppliers and new suppliersWith the Procurement team, review forecasts and contracts and, in accordance with delegation of authority and governance, secure additional raw materials as requiredAdherence to ALL company policies and agreed KPIs as set outSkills / Qualifications / ExperienceMinimum of 3 years in a similar position within the food industryPrevious experience in an FMCG environment an advantageThird level degree in business or similar relevant discipline is desirableFood industry knowledge desirablePrevious sourcing and supplier management experience essentialExcellent negotiation, organisational, and time management skillsStrong planning, analytical and organisational skillsExcellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skillsExcellent attention to detailFlexibility and ability to manage changeAbility to prioritise and make sound business decisionsCustomer service focus, with a strong sense of urgency and responsivenessNote: As with all positions, due to the dynamic nature of Arrow Group business, key responsibilities will evolve and change over time.
