The Role of Senior Tax Accountant
Key Responsibilities:
* Tax Planning and Compliance: Prepare and review income tax and corporation tax returns for individuals, companies, and partnerships.
* Trial Balance Management: Manage and prepare trial balances, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
* Tax Advisory Services: Provide tax advice and strategies to clients, assisting with planning and ensuring compliance with tax laws.
* Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing queries and offering expert tax solutions.
* Compliance and Reporting: Ensure all tax filings are timely and comply with current tax legislation and regulations.
Requirements and Qualifications:
* Experience: Significant experience in income tax, corporation tax, and trial balance preparation within an accountancy or tax advisory role.
* Professional Certifications: ACA/ACCA/CTA (or equivalent worked experience) preferred, with a strong understanding of Irish tax law.
* Technical Skills: High level of proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Excel.
* Attention to Detail: Excellent accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of tax work and financial reporting.
* Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build long-lasting relationships with clients.
* Teamwork: Ability to work well in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
