Team Overview
The Loan Agency Team handles external client service for new issue/par/distressed bank loan trades, including large U.S. and European syndications, leveraged middle‑market, and special opportunities. Candidates will collaborate with attorneys, trade counterparties, administrative agents, and others on confirmations, allocations, KYC, settlements, metrics, and industry initiatives.
Future Responsibilities
* Demonstrate detailed knowledge of the bank loan market to communicate with business and trading counterparties.
* Lead the trade settlement process for loan syndications, secondary trades, CLOs, restructures, privates, and trade claims, including funding and documentation matters.
* Maintain strong knowledge of all relevant portfolios and deal documentation to ensure controls and guidelines are adhered to.
* Act as primary point of contact for certain clients, possibly in an Account Manager role.
* Liaise with Administrative Agents regarding KYC documentation, including tax and fund formation documents.
* Mentor and support junior team members, working toward building and managing a team of closers.
* Collaborate with Portfolio Management, Attorneys, Compliance, Finance, Technology, Custodians, Fund Administrators, Agent Banks, and Trading Counterparts/Brokers.
* Investigate and resolve closing and transactional issues and communicate them in a timely manner.
* Participate in the review of daily/weekly reports and metrics provided to clients to highlight trade status and risks.
* Work in a dynamic team environment and participate in strategic initiatives.
* Demonstrate the ability to prioritize, complete, and delegate tasks while maintaining high attention to detail.
Your Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or equivalent experience.
* Independent research and problem‑solving skills.
* Strong communication abilities for working closely with internal groups and external clients.
* Analytical skills with a proactive interest in learning and mastering new concepts.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Bloomberg performance systems and other loan research tools is an advantage.
* Experience with syndicated loans, and preferably trade settlement on par, distressed, LSTA and LMA documents and trade claims.
* Knowledge of the ClearPAR platform is an advantage.
