A Site Agent is needed to lead a team on a civil engineering project.
Job Description
The successful candidate will oversee the delivery of large-scale infrastructure works, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. This role involves managing a section of a major project, acting as sub-agent, and working closely with other teams. The agent will be responsible for implementing cost-conscious management, using efficient resources, and adopting BIM technologies to meet project requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
* Ensuring compliance with Company policies and procedures;
* Managing and supervising the project team;
* Adopting cost-effective management through efficient use of all resources;
* Implementing and promoting the use of BIM technologies;
* Maintaining good working relationships with RE staff and the supply chain;
* Encouraging repeat business by adopting a professional attitude with clients and stakeholders;
* Establishing and maintaining an effective, programme-based cost management system;
* Preparing realistic short, medium, and contract programmes;
* Preparing method statements and risk assessments;
* Ensuring all records for measurement and payment purposes are prepared promptly;
* Making site-based appointments with suitably trained and experienced staff;
* Communicating with all levels of the team via recorded weekly internal progress meetings;
* Keeping off-site line management apprised of potential problems and future work opportunities;
* Establishing and maintaining close working relationships with buying and general foreman departments;
* Developing staff to their next level;
The ideal candidate will have experience in civil engineering, strong leadership skills, and a thorough knowledge of relevant government legislation and construction techniques. Effective communication at all levels is essential.
