Job Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for pre-contract cost control, advising design teams and clients, and preparing documents. Post-contract functions will include providing interim recommendations, cost reporting, client meetings, and final account reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Pre-contract Cost Control: The Quantity Surveyor will work closely with design teams and clients to ensure accurate cost estimates and advice.
* Document Preparation: The successful candidate will prepare all necessary documents, including bills of quantities, buildsoft, and cubit.
* Cost Reporting: The Quantity Surveyor will provide regular cost reports to clients, detailing project progress and expenditure.
* Client Meetings: The successful candidate will attend meetings with clients to discuss project progress, address concerns, and provide updates.
* Final Account Reconciliations: The Quantity Surveyor will reconcile final accounts with clients, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
Estimating & Cost Planning Duties:
* The Quantity Surveyor will estimate and plan costs for projects, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
* The successful candidate will prepare detailed cost reports, highlighting areas of concern and suggesting improvements.
* The Quantity Surveyor will work closely with clients to agree on final accounts, ensuring satisfaction and prompt payment.
Requirements:
* Degree qualified Quantity Surveyor
* Chartered status is preferable but not mandatory
* Commercial awareness and ambition to progress within the organisation
* Drive and determination to manage budgets and ensure commercial success
