Job Overview:
We are seeking a Warehouse Operative with experience in Picking & Loading fragile, heavy components. We require someone who can maintain warehouse inventory with a high level of accuracy and adherence to safety protocols. Someone who also has excellent timekeeping, communication and organisational skills. This is a newly created role, and successful applicants will be joining us at the launch of an exciting new business venture. Key Responsibilities:
* Receive, inspect, and safely unload deliveries of windscreens and related automotive glass.
* Accurately check goods against delivery notes and report discrepancies or damages.
* Maintain precise stock records using inventory systems or scanners.
* Organise and rotate stock to prevent damage and ensure accessibility.
* Use appropriate lifting techniques and tools (e.g. glass lifters, suction cups) to move and store windscreens.
* Ensure all products are stored securely to prevent breakage.
* Follow all manual handling and safety protocols for working with glass.
* Pick and pack orders accurately according to business requirements.
* Label and prepare goods for delivery or collection, ensuring secure packaging.
* Work closely with the transport team and management to coordinate timely dispatch.
* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
* Follow health and safety guidelines, including the correct use of PPE.
* Assist in regular stock takes and warehouse audits.
* Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse machinery (once certified).
* Carry out daily checks and basic maintenance on warehouse equipment.
* Communicate effectively with the warehouse team, drivers, and customer service staff.
* Assist with general warehouse duties as needed to support business operations.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in a Warehouse Operative/Supervisory role.
* Skills: Adequate visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to safely operate Forklift and handle heavy & fragile loads.
* Knowledge: Understanding of Stock Control, Manual Handling and some Microsoft Office usage an advantage.
* Certification: Candidates with valid forklift certification and hands-on experience will be at an advantage.
* Physical Requirements: Must be capable of lifting, carrying, and manoeuvring large and fragile items such as windscreens and automotive glass, in accordance with manual handling regulations and safe work practices.
* Licence Requirements: A valid, full, clean Irish drivers licence will be an advantage.
* Right to Work in Ireland: You must be eligible for employment in Ireland.
