A global financial services organisation based in Dublin is seeking an experienced Senior Power BI Specialist to support a high-profile reporting transformation project. This role combines enterprise-level Power BI architecture expertise with strong analytical capability. The successful candidate will review, optimise, and enhance a centralised semantic model while ensuring reporting outputs are insightful, business-focused, and analytically robust.This is a high-impact position suited to a senior data professional who can work across architecture, modelling, and business insight delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct a detailed review of the existing centralised Power BI semantic modelProvide prioritised technical and analytical recommendations (High / Medium / Low)Analyse reporting requirements and translate business needs into scalable data modelsOptimise dataset refresh automation, including orchestration with Snowflake workloadsReduce refresh times to improve performance and scalabilityEnhance data model structure, performance, and usability while preserving business logicDevelop and refine DAX measures to support advanced analytical reportingDeliver high-quality, insight-driven dashboards with strong data storytellingImplement best practices for CI/CD, deployment, parameterisation, and governanceSupport a structured release and change management processContribute to reporting standards, templates, and documentationSupport stakeholder engagement, knowledge transfer, and training where requiredRequired ExperienceStrong experience in Power BI enterprise architecture and semantic modellingAdvanced DAX, data modelling, and analytical report development expertiseProven experience working as a Data Analyst delivering business insightStrong understanding of Kimball star schema design principlesAbility to translate complex data into clear, actionable insightsExperience working independently in fast-paced, regulated environmentsStrong stakeholder communication and requirement-gathering skillsDesirable ExperienceExperience working with SnowflakeBackground in financial services or enterprise-scale organisationsExperience with CI/CD and DevOps practices in Power BIHow to Apply:If you are interested in this position please apply with your up to date CV.
