Competitive + bonus + strong benefits Lead the BA Function in a Growing Centre of Excellence We're working with a global insurance company that's building out a significant Centre of Excellence in Belfast, with a strong focus on digital transformation and operational excellence. This is a brand-new leadership opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst to step into a strategic role shaping the direction of the BA practice locally. You'll be the go-to person for all things business analysis across the UK function - aligning closely with the global BA team, championing best practices, and mentoring a team of 8-9 BAs (some remote). There's no formal line management to start, but you'll be at the heart of recruitment, development, and performance oversight. What You'll Be Doing Team & Practice Leadership Guide and support a growing team of BAs across systems and business areas Set the local BA strategy while aligning with global methodologies and standards Act as the face of the BA function in Belfast, ensuring quality, consistency, and cohesion Take ownership of practice development, recruitment, and team support Strategic Integration Build strong working relationships with global counterparts Get under the hood of existing systems and workflows (first 3-6 months) Identify areas for improvement and help shape a scalable, efficient BA Centre of Excellence Ways of Working Champion the use of Jira, Confluence, and structured documentation processes Drive continuous improvement in a regulated, process-led environment Work cross-functionally with stakeholders across the business and tech teams What We're Looking For A seasoned BA leader from insurance, financial services, or other regulated, systems-heavy industries Strong experience mentoring, coaching, and developing BA talent Comfortable working in structured, standards-driven environments A collaborative mindset, with the ability to influence across teams and geographies Experience working in or setting up Centre of Excellence functions is a real plus Guidewire exposure is advantageous but not required - training and certification will be supported What's On Offer Salary: Competitive Bonus: Discretionary annual bonus Holidays: 25 days + 10 stats Pension: 9% total contribution (with salary sacrifice option) Private Medical, Life Assurance & Income Protection Employee Assistance Programme A range of wellbeing, learning and development perks This is a unique chance to lead, influence, and build something long-term as part of a high-growth UK tech function.
