Site Clerk (Construction) We are seeking a personable and organised Construction Site Clerk with a solid background in the construction industry.
The successful candidate will act as a key point of contact between the site team and the client, who is typically a private homeowner.
You will help ensure clear communication, smooth coordination of site activities, and high levels of client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Job Type: Full Time Permanent Location: Dublin Salary: €40-50k DOE Key Responsibilities: Client Liaison: Act as the first point of contact for private clients, providing regular updates and responding to queries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
Site Coordination: Work closely with on-site staff, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure site activities are communicated and aligned with the project schedule.
Daily Site Administration: Maintain records of site activities, deliveries, attendance, and documentation such as permits, method statements, and health and safety compliance.
Meeting Coordination: Arrange and attend site meetings as required, taking notes and following up on action points.
Reporting: Provide daily or weekly progress updates to the Site Manager and/or client as agreed.
Problem Solving: Assist in resolving minor issues or delays by facilitating clear communication between stakeholders.
Document Control: Maintain accurate and organised records, including contracts, purchase orders, and variations.
Requirements: Experience: Previous experience in a similar role within the construction sector is essential.
Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and site teams.
Organisation: Strong administrative and organisational abilities, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Technical Understanding: Basic understanding of construction methods and terminology to effectively liaise with the site team and client.
IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general comfort with digital tools and record-keeping systems.
Professionalism: Presentable, reliable, and able to represent the company in a positive light to homeowners and subcontractors alike.
Desirable: A qualification in construction, site management, or a related field.
Experience working directly with private residential clients.
Familiarity with construction project management software.
