As we continue our journey toward becoming Ireland's most trusted and sustainable business, we have an exciting opportunity for a successful candidate to join our team as an Indirect Procurment - Buyer.
We are now inviting applications for the role of Buyer in our Musgrave Indirect Procurement Team in Airport Road. Reporting to the Indirect Procurement Manager, this role will ensure that the buyer's Portfolio follows the Indirect Procurement process, working in tandem with Budget Owners, and delivers the required savings and compliance KPIs to assist in Musgrave's strategy.
Indirect Procurement spend in all Divisions for areas defined by Indirect Procurement Manager in Contracts Calendar and agreed with business stakeholders. The candidate will ideally have experience in Packaging & Marketing & HR procurement as this is the portfolio that they will primarily manage.
What you'll be doing:
Planning, Analysis & Control
* Devise own and drive the associated procurement category strategies, becoming an expert in the market dynamics of the Packaging and Marketing Category.
* Analyse areas of spend as per the Indirect Procurement Contracts Database to identify sourcing initiatives to pursue.
* Review Spend Analysis reports to target spend that could be consolidated across the Musgrave business, leveraging One Musgrave principles.
* Review Requisitions and Purchase Orders to ensure adherence with Group Indirect Procurement policy.
* Input into the preparation of annual budgets and provision of data to the Finance Teams across the business
Negotiation and Contracting
* Agree requirements with budget holders.
* Ensure that spend is committed having only gone through the Indirect Procurement process, ensure no renegade spend.
* Manage the end to end tendering process for identified areas of spend.
* Take the lead in negotiation with Suppliers. Work with budget holders to be clear on what the best negotiation tactics are.
* Work closely with our preferred Packaging supplier to assess the Market and also achieve the best commercial outcomes.
* Assist budget holders with the Contracting process, liaise with legal, DPO, Secops as necessary to ensure a good quality contract is created.
Central Procurement
* Provide an excellent service to the Budget Holders as per agreed SLA's, liaising on an ongoing basis
* Build and maintain relationships and partnerships with key Indirect suppliers
* Managing and aligning the requirements of stakeholders to establish a consistent way of working in all Operating Units.
* Leverage internal purchasing systems, agreeing catalogue goods and services with the business and suppliers and configuring same
* Improve and develop all Procurement processes and operational management requirements such as contracting reports, risk exposure databases.
* Review Requisitions for non-Preferred suppliers and approving Purchase Orders
* Tracking adherence of actual pricing to negotiated pricing and associated variance analysis.
* Adhoc group projects
What we'er looking for:
* 5 Yrs.+ commercial experience preparing and leading out negotiations on high value contracts.
* Procurement certification or Accounting qualification with buying experience.
* Influencing stakeholders up to and including Exec level.
* Critical Thinking – ability and experience to challenge the status quo
* Finance systems experience (Oracle iProc an advantage)
* Very strong Excel skills and strong attention to detail.
