Soul Atlas
€104,000 - €130,878 a year

Offer description

Are you an
audiovisual production specialist
? We're looking for you to join our team and develop a documentary series for YouTube together. Together, we can tell the story and transformation of the Soul Atlas Universe.

The goal is to show how each department of our company creates its projects; we'll be the spies in the process.

Join us for a magical experience, where audiences can discover everything that happens and learn firsthand how this fantastic universe is built.

ABOUT THE COMPANY

We are creating films, games, and comics - stories with soul - for our own fantasy universe (think Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, etc., but smaller - for now hehe). We started 4 years ago as a small team of folks who were initially supposed to package a TV show. Finding ourselves unable to give away our IP, we decided to build out the universe ourselves to retain (creative) control. Now, 4 years later, our rag-tag band of pirates has grown to over 150 members (far over 200 depending on how you count).

Our current slate includes 3 short films (2 in active development, 1 in post production, 30min each), a comic book series (9 issues of Season 1, 40+ pages/issue), and two games (one Card Game online and offline version featuring our characters and factions, and one TTRPG with oneshots, campaign rules and region expansions). We also produce fantastic music, Shopify-sold merchandise, handcrafted art, documentaries about the making of Soul Atlas, Lore Videos, and Shorts.

We have been working on getting greenlight, production up, worldbuilding ready, and marketing infrastructure set up. Now our task is mostly about improving the existing processes and bringing us into our first launches with financial implications (thus far, we took on some investment but have not made revenue yet - you first have to make a film to make box office).

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a soft-skilled team player who can give support to make things happen. Responsibilities below may be seasonal and do not necessarily occur together in any given week.

Meetings/communication

* Maintain communication with the director and the documentary team to monitor the progress of the processes.
* Coordinate the recording of interviews and voice-overs with the appropriate parties, having previously coordinated with the director according to the script.
* Organise weekly meetings with the director and the team to review processes, brainstorm, etc.

Checking specs and timeline

* Create a delivery schedule for each process and monitor compliance with the deadlines (script, editing, graphics, voice-overs, review, and episode publication).
* Follow up on requests made to other departments and ensure they are delivered on the scheduled date.
* Monitor delivery times and resolve any issues that may arise.
* Ensure that all necessary material for publication is ready and approved by the director before its release.
* Ensure that each episode meets all requirements (thumbnail, episode, title, etc.) and is published on the scheduled date.

Maintaining database

* Maintain control & check quality of audiovisual material if necessary.
* Organize folders for editors with a clear structure (archive material, voice-overs, interviews, graphics, animation, music, etc.).

YOU

are a diligent, personable, responsible, reachable leader and you ...

* Have a good understanding of the writing and production process - ideally in Documentary, film or broadcast.
* Have a track record as a producer in the creative area
* Are not easily satisfied: If there is potential, we need to make use of it.
* Speak Professional English
* Have excellent soft skills: You know how to bring people together, address their needs, and detect any dysfunction early, while it can be treated easily.
* Are a self-starter: If there are dependencies missing, you will get them. If you need people, you will find them. If you need information, you will request it. You always know what's next, and if you don't, you find out swiftly.

A PLUS:

A love for fantasy (think GOT, Witcher, LOTR, LOL, etc.)

FIRST STEPS

I will begin by reaching out to you to schedule an interview. After our conversation, if you are chosen, you will get access, and we will set up appointments with all leads. We present the current timeline and team. You ask for everything else. Then we will hand over the keys to the kingdom, and it's you moving forward.

COMPENSATION DETAILS

Time Investment:

Part-time. Approximately 10 hours/week (flexible week on week, as we understand you may have other commitments) - you set your own boundaries. If it is possible for you, we accept more than 10 hours/week.

Salary:

At this point, there is no salary. We instead give parts of the company away:

Profit Participation:

We are currently in the development of a profit share/royalty system that will award everyone who is part of the project a part of the pie without causing any upfront taxation. Upon request for an interview, we will send you a detailed breakdown so you can make a decision.

Thank you very much for considering the collaboration.

We hope to see you on the other side and that we grow together on these exciting projects

All the best,

Jeannely Iriarte
