Job Description
The award‑winning multi‑disciplinary engineering business Lawler Sustainability is looking for a Business Development Executive to work closely with company directors and the CEO. The successful candidate will engage with stakeholders at all levels—including cold and warm leads, existing clients, senior management, and key personnel—across a range of digital and traditional marketing channels.
Responsibilities

Identify and develop new business opportunities through social media, phone calls, email correspondence and face‑to‑face interactions.
Responsible for initial lead generation of new business through to closure of sale.
Achieve and exceed lead generation and sales targets in line with the business strategy.
Ensure effective collaboration with Sales and Operations departments to safeguard long‑term positive development of the client base.
Manage existing client relationships and seek additional services and revenue streams from new/existing clients.
Manage advertising and marketing campaigns: LinkedIn, webinars, email campaigns (through Active Campaign), with monthly lead generation and sales updates required.
Engage with existing and former clients to provide updates on service offerings and re‑engagement campaigns; monitor deal status and accurate sales pipeline projections.
Monitor website engagement analytics and performance metrics using Google Analytics, track progress, identify areas of improvement and create monthly reports to communicate results.
Develop and implement digital communication strategies tailored to the needs of varied stakeholders.
Create engaging content optimized for email, intranet, video conferencing, and social media.
Update LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter feeds weekly with completed projects, testimonials, team building activities and informative articles to increase brand awareness and client engagement.
Facilitate webinars for different industries (commercial real estate, hotels & leisure centres, retail, etc.) alongside engineers and other team members through LinkedIn or Microsoft Teams to inform on service offerings, educate and increase brand awareness.

Requirements

Minimum of five years’ experience in Business‑to‑Business Sales, including at least two years of team leadership or people management experience.
Experience in digital marketing or communications will be looked on favourably.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Sales, Marketing or a relevant discipline.
Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to close deals effectively.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Presentation, interpersonal and computer application skills.
Good networking and influencing skills with a focus on achieving positive outcomes from interactions.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to create and deploy strategic and tactical plans.
Effective problem‑solving skills and the ability to work quickly, efficiently and to tight deadlines.
Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office, Canva, Google Analytics, Active Campaign, WordPress.
CRM system management: familiarity with and experience using Active Campaign an advantage.
Genuine passion for and knowledge of sustainability and the construction industry.
