Role Overview
The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth within a defined territory across the Munster region. This field-based position requires a hard-working, proactive and commercially focused individual who can build strong relationships with our established electrical wholesaler customer base as well as contractors, and others key stakeholders across the lighting and electrical sector.
The role involves achieving sales targets by developing business plans, managing key accounts, identifying project opportunities, and delivering exceptional customer service to support continued market growth.
Key Responsibilities

Achieve agreed sales targets across all wholesaler accounts within the assigned territory.
Build and maintain strong relationships with wholesale branch managers, buyers and electrical contractors.
Develop and execute business plans to support growth within the existing wholesaler customer base.
Follow monthly call plan to ensure consistent service levels across all accounts.
Complete thorough preparation ahead of all customer meetings and calls.
Drive both day-to-day stock orders and lighting project opportunities across the customer base.
Monitor and report on market trends and wider market conditions for our industry
Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records, including pricing, purchasing patterns, and key contacts.
Represent the company at industry trade fairs and events.
Complete all monthly reporting requirements in a timely manner.
Present updates, insights, and performance at divisional sales meetings.
Manage and update the project pipeline database monthly.
Attend relevant industry networking and social events.
Minimum overnight travel may be required for this role

Skills & Experience Required

Experience within the lighting & electrical market, or related construction products sector.
Hard-working, self-motivated and results-driven
Comfortable working independently
Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence at multiple levels.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to analyse data, identify opportunities, and develop effective business plans.
Highly organised person with strong attention to detail.
Full clean driving licence required.
Experience in a field based or account management role
Proven sales experience within the lighting & electrical market
Experience working with electrical wholesalers and contractors.
Knowledge of lighting products, technologies, and project sales.
Strong problem-solving abilities with a customer-first mindset.

Travel Requirements

Field-based role with overnight stay if required
